My Favorite Jesus Movies

My Favorite Jesus Movies

Jesus
Succinct telling of the Gospel.
Based on Luke. 
It stars Brian Deacon, who’s British, 
so it made Jesus sound like one of the Beatles. 
Also made me wonder if he’d carry the cross 
down the left side of the Via Delarosa.

Jesus of Nazareth
I especially enjoy His telling of 
the Parable of the Prodigal Son. 
The way its done reveals its meaning.
Lengthy, but worthwhile.

The Passion of the Christ
Graphically brutal account, 
which gives a better idea 
of the physical pain Jesus suffered.

My secret favorite ... 

John 3:16
Beautiful Savior
(It’s a screenplay I wrote, 
so technically it’s not a movie yet. 
But it’s still my favorite.)
